Cliffhouse [In Words]
The gardens
The house is set within 3 acres of beautiful, lush green woodland. The entrance to the property is dominated by a majestic bamboo tree that towers above the drive. Take a walk round the garden and you will find ackee, breadfruit, lime, grapefruit orange, banana, coconut and mango trees.
At the front of the property, in a traditional wooden house lives O’Neil, our villa manager, with Anjelita, our house maid, and their two children. They are permanently on site to make sure your stay is as perfect as they can make it.
Take a walk around the garden and you will find ackee, breadfruit, lime, banana, coconut and mango trees. There is a treehouse for the children and a cool shady corner where three hammocks can be set up for afternoon naps.
The pool
The swimming pool sits in a natural dip in the land at the back of the house and nestles within the tropical woodland - stand at the back of the pool area and you are facing the tops of the trees in the garden! The pool is a 12-meter L-shape and is fenced in on three sides, it has a sunbathing deck and a shallow platform ideal for young children. Two speakers will play the house sound system while you sunbathe by the pool.
The tennis court
We have recently installed a tennis court that sits neatly sheltered and tucked amongst the trees in a dip in the land at the back of the property. The space is not just for tennis but also perfect for five-a-side soccer, basketball and we also have a practise wall.
The sea
Steps lead from the cliff top down onto a walled jetty that sits above the aquamarine sea. From this platform you can access the sea to swim, snorkel or scuba dive amongst the many tropical fish and beautiful coral. The reef extends out about 400 metres and suddenly drops away into the blue - it’s stunning and a wonderful way to spend a bright sunny morning (or relieve a hangover). The platform is also the perfect spot to watch the sun go down, see the swallows fly from the cave in the cliff or to just light some candles, sit down and take in the stars.
